Ignite Educational Assessment Management Application
Overview:
Multiple school districts within Upstate New York and in Canada utilized a pilot application that provided assistance to teachers with assessing their students. The application provided teachers with the ability to scan printed assessments, grade the assessments, and analytics regarding question and assessment level data.

The Task:
To assess a pilot application prior to launch. Provide a detailed analysis of what is working and what is not.
We studied 5 local school districts, meeting with teachers, principals, and students who were utilizing the pilot system to asses the efficacy of the program.
Within my school, I found that the users were not utilizing the product as anticipated. I wrote and presented the usage report based upon my findings to the program manager, project manager, principal scientists, engineers, and developers in a program meeting. My research provided "least invasive ways" where we could help save what was already in motion, and move more towards a digital, tablet based assessment system that did not include paper.
