Information Architecture Redesign
What: My responsibilities within a health insurance company included redesigning the Information Architecture (IA) for the web portals of seven constituent groups. Two drafts of that work are included below.
Time Frame: We had a month to get the designs to engineering.
How: I analyzed Google Analytics user data from the website. Research included interviews with representative samples for each constituent group, talking with customer service regarding complaints, running initial surveys, card sorting, tree testing using Optimal Workshop, and finally summative usability testing within a test environment.
Who: I partnered with the product manager, content manager, designer, and engineers for implementation. The drafts below were to illustrate research findings to the stakeholders and they were also used for testing purposes.
